The Bala House Montessori School
Summer Camp Enrichment Program

The Bala House has designed a special summer program based on Montessori ideals and principles especially for young children, ages three to six. Our enrichment program is a great way to experience a taste of Montessori education over the summer, to transition new students entering our program in the fall, or to introduce young children to their first camp experience.

Our unique and flexible program offers:
  • A fun, yet stimulating experience for preschoolers and first-time campers
  • Highly qualified counselors and staff, experienced in the developmental needs of young children
  • A Montessori-certified Camp Director, Bernice Andrews - a Bala House teacher for 4 years
  • A flexible and convenient schedule for busy families-parents choose individual weeks as needed
  • Weekly thematic activities, plus gardening, art, water play, cooking lessons, walking journeys, and outdoor games on beautiful grounds and private, tree-lined, and well-equipped playground

2008 Summer Camp Enrichment Program Enrollment Contract

The Bala House Montessori Summer Camp Enrichment Program runs for 8 weeks, from June 23rd through August 15th, 2008. We provide all campers a continuity of Montessori fundamentals practiced in our Preschool/ Kindergarten program - respect for self, others, and the environment. We also offer Movement and Art classes - popular during the school year - plus, optional swimming lessons at St. Joseph's University. In addition, our campers are enchanted by story tellers, the petting zoo, museums, and other special events we bring to the program throughout the summer.
