Our Big Friend & Me Music Class / Playgroup for toddlers, 18 months through 3 years old, is generating applause from parents and children alike! During this popular weekly program, toddlers and caretakers enjoy music, sensory play, snack time, crafts, and parenting discussions in a peaceful mixed age class.
The children are able to work at their own pace and make their own choices while exploring a carefully prepared environment containing hands-on, age appropriate materials. Also, it provides children and adults with the opportunity to build wonderful social relationships.
Colleen Law, a longtime music teacher and current Bala House parent, leads the program in the extended care classroom of the Edith C. Aherne wing. Classes take place on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Two sessions run from October through April. All holidays and vacations coincide with the school calendar.
