Love of learning takes place all summer long for three to six year olds at Bala House Montessori’s summer camp!
Similar to the school year, Montessori fundamentals – free choice, independence, and respect for self, others, and the environment – are emphasized during camp. However, sprinkler fun, arts and crafts, splashing in wading pools, nature walks, digging in the garden, and leisurely outdoor picnic lunches with special friends make this program a truly different experience from the school year and an ideal change of pace for the summer months.
Our summer camp is open to everyone. Whether your child is new to Montessori or a veteran, this camp is a great way for them to discover, learn and grow in a safe, fun, nurturing environment. Our preschool camp is a wonderful way for a child to experience a taste of a Montessori education over the summer, to transition a new student entering our program in the fall, or to introduce a young child to their first camp experience.

Our unique Montessori summer camp offers:
• A fun, yet stimulating experience for preschoolers and first-time campers.
• Montessori-certified camp co-directors and highly qualified staff experienced in the developmental needs of the whole child. Many of our teachers and staff work at our summer camp.
• Flexible schedules and convenient hours (8 am to 6 pm) for busy families. Parents can choose individual weeks as needed.
• Fun weekly themes: insects/bugs/spiders, dinosaurs, space, the rainforest, jungle animals, and the continents.
• Gardening, art, picnics, water play, fantasy play, cooking lessons, story times, pajama day, walking journeys, sprinkler fun, outdoor games, and organized sports on our beautiful wooded campus and well-equipped playground.
• Art, music, and movement classes. Optional swimming lessons (for 4 years and up) at St. Joseph’s University.
• Story tellers, petting zoos, traveling museums, and other special programs that visit our camp throughout the summer.
