Bala Gala

Thank you for a wonderfully successful 2021 Virtual Bala Gala! We raised over $17,000 for our school. We look forward to gathering in person next year for the 2022 Bala Gala.

Bala House’s annual fundraiser will look a little different this year.  On April 10th, 2021 from 7PM-8PM, the Share Your Love Light gala will be held on  Zoom.   This community-building, “fun for the whole family” evening will feature our teachers, students and a few special not-to-be missed surprises!

The funds raised will help offset our increased operating costs as a result of the COVID pandemic.  Bala House’s needs have never been greater thanks to reduced tuition revenue as a result of 6ft-spacing requirements, purchases of PPE (masks, face shields, disinfecting wipes, etc.), increased professional cleaning service costs and the installation of air purification systems.

Please consider attending the Gala, donating goods or services to the silent suction, advertising in our auction catalog, or purchasing a sponsorship. Your support not only helps with our fundraising efforts but builds brand recognition and loyalty among the nearly 120 families and friends who will attend the Bala Gala.  All donations are tax-deductible.

Can’t make the Gala but still want to bid? Our silent auction will be available on the ClickBid app.  You can access ClickBid from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. If you can not make it to the gala but would like information on how to remotely bid, please email Emily Surovick at esurovick@balahouse.org.

What is a Love Light? The Love Light is a beautiful Montessori lesson in which children learn that we all possess a center of goodness and light and we can share that goodness, light and love with those around us.  The children make love light necklaces to illustrate the lesson. All 2021 Gala attendees will receive a love light necklace made by a Bala House student.

A special thank you to our event sponsor Waldron Mercy Academy!
